Your CRM is your businesses central command center.
It's your hub. It's where you keep track of all your clients details, their contracts, invoices and session notes.
It's where you prepare emails, create contracts, design your forms and draft your proposals.
It's also your chance to wow your potential clients. No matter who we are, we like things simple. The easier it is to do something, the better.
The same can be said for onboarding a client. If you have to re-create a contract for every client, change the details, save as pdf and then send to your client to download, sign and then scan back to you. That one step now has multiple points where the client could drop off or get pushed to the back of their to do list because it's too hard right now.
Same for getting paid. Getting them to send a cheque or bank transfer can be much harder than simply sending them an invoice where they can pay via a credit card.
You want to make things easier for your client.
And by making it easier for them, you are ultimately making it easier for yourself as well.
That's where Dubsado comes in.
Dubsado is your new best friend. It will take all of your convoluted, cobbled together systems and combine them in one to make your client hub the best it can be.
No more scrambling to send a contract and invoice, no more rifling paperwork trying to find that one detail your client spoke about wanting in their session but you can’t remember off the top of your head.
And best of all, no more logging into multiple platforms to find each part of your onboarding process. It's all housed under one roof, making it convenient for you.
Still not convinced? Here are my top 5 features of Dubsado:
1. It's Pretty
Now I know this probably doesn't seem like a big deal when searching out the perfect CRM but think about this - how many hours a day do you spend in your CRM?
How many times do you need to log in, view something, change something, send a contract, send an invoice, update details?
I don't know about you but I practically live in my CRM and if it's not something pleasing to look at then I have to force myself to use it.
Design matters. Especially as photographers. We like the 'pretty'. There's no shame in that. In fact, we embrace it in our photography. Striving for the perfect angle, the perfect light, the perfect pose. Why should our CRM be any different?
Why shouldn't I want to open up my browser with a smile instead of a grimace when I use my CRM.
Dubsado gives me that. And much more. In fact, that leads me to my second point.
2. It's User Friendly
Now, a pretty design only gets you so far if it also doesn't come with good functionality. A CRM can have the prettiest interface out there but if the functionality is lacking it's not going to make it.
And Dubsado? Dubsado offers both!
Dubsado combines a pretty interface with easy to use functionality. What does that spell? An awesome design and a winning system!
When I first logged into Dubsado I was able to find my way around their system very easily. Did I understand exactly how I could best utilise it? Of course not, not yet.
But I could see exactly where I could add my contracts, set up my invoices and questionnaires. I found out where I could update my settings like my timezone and payment providers. And I did all this before I even went through their help section.
That's what I mean for being user friendly.
Becca and Jake (the owners of Dubsado) really believe in making this system the best that it can be, and the easiest for their customers to use. And that shows throughout their business.
3. Great Support
Dubsado have, hands down, the best support you can imagine. I honestly don't know how they manage it. I live in Australia - on the opposite side of the world from where Dubsado is - and their response time is unbelievable.
I always hear back from them promptly and the issue is always resolved. They are super helpful and supportive and answer your questions and try to solve your problems.
Email is the best way to get in touch if you have any technical questions or issues. However, If you are looking for a great community of people using Dubsado and willing to share then their free facebook group is perfect. When you sign up for a free trial, you get access to the group too.
The FB group is a great resource of user support, ideas on how to perfect your own set up and it also provides a great help for inspiration and ideas on how you can improve your own forms or systems.
Everyone is extremely helpful and supportive and you can often find ways to do something in your business, that you’d never have thought of, just by reading through how everyone else is using Dubsado in the group.
4. Mobile Friendly
While Dubsado doesn't have an app, their entire system is mobile responsive. You can have the full functionality (except designing forms - do that on a computer) on your phone or your iPad without skipping a beat.
You can send emails, contracts, proposal etc all from your phone, even without an app.
They do have plans to release an app but that will be further down the line. Though, in all honesty, I have no need for an app because I can use everything perfectly on mobile already. It's super convenient and easy to use on mobile.
And with the amount of travelling I do to and from sessions and appointments it's convenient to know that I can access my clients information from anywhere, at anytime.
AdvancedTip: Log into your Dubsado account on your mobile then save that page to your home screen (on an iPhone). That saves that page as an app on your phone.
Now all you have to do is open that and you're taken to your Dubsado account automatically - and you don't have to log in every time either.
5. Automation
Afraid of missing a new lead when they email you while you're on a session?
Set up a lead capture workflow so that an email is automatically sent to anyone that enquires about your services.
Want to provide a consistent experience for each of your clients?Set up a workflow to send out the same set of emails automatically once a client is booked. Plus you can use Dubsado’s ‘custom fields’ to make each email a little more personal.
Want to send out follow up emails to anyone that's enquired with you but hasn't emailed you back? Set up a workflow to do this for you automatically.
Is any of this making you think - 'Hell, Yes! I want that!'. A way to follow up with leads and with clients without having to do everything manually.
Cue the angels singing!
Now, I'm not saying to automate everything in your business because that's not going to work well for you or your clients. But I am saying that you can change some of your processes so that they automatically run in the background without you having to think about them.
And Dubsado helps you do that.
Anything that helps you run your business without constantly feeling overwhelmed is a win in my book.
There are so many CRM's out there with different functions and ways to utilise them. You need to find the one that works best for you and your business.
Dubsado is that winner for me. And I've tried my fair share (17hats, Tave, Pixifii, Sprout Studio, Insightly - to name a few).
These are just 5 reasons that I've chosen to use Dubsado as the CRM of choice in my business.
